Thank you to everyone who joined this week’s Owners call. Below is a summary of the meeting for anyone who wasn’t able to attend.
September 2021 Owners Call
Mariana Tek — Guest Allowance
- The “Guest Booking” prompts on spinco.ca can not be removed.
- Each studio has the option of whether or not they want to allow guest booking.
- If you turn guest booking on:
- All future memberships purchased will allow riders to book one free guest per month.
- All existing memberships are set with a guest allowance of 0. To update a rider’s account to bring one guest per month, please cancel future renewals of their membership, then add the same membership through POS (set the start date to the last day of their current cycle). This will refresh their membership with the guest allowance update.
- If you have any questions or would like to update the Guest Allowance settings at your studio, please submit a request through the portal.
BrandBot
- BrandBot is LIVE! HQ has been working very hard with the BrandBot team to get each studio’s account set up, so it is ready to go the first time you sign in.
- There will be two franchisee training sessions next week. Please make sure that you attend one of these training sessions.
- Calendar invites will be sent out on Friday. The schedule is as follows:
- Monday, September 20, at 3 pm – 4 pm EST
- Wednesday, September 22, at 12 pm – 1 pm EST
SPINCO Marathon
- A new email template for Training Week Two is available on the portal.
- Booking for Marathon should go live on Monday, September 20, at 1 pm. Instructions for scheduling the class have been added to the portal. Assets to promote booking going live will be on the portal tomorrow.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
- National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is on Thursday, September 30.
- All corporate studios plan to donate a portion of sales that day to a local charity to support indigenous communities. If you’d like to do the same at your studio, please reach out to HQ for direct. We recommend donating to a local charity associated with supporting residential school survivors, for example, irsss.ca.
- If you’d like, here are links to some scrunchies and bandanas for your team to wear during the day:

Lexxi kindly shared the course below as a resource to help educate on the indigenous culture, history and hardships they have and are going through. This is not at all mandatory but highly encouraged. The course is a free resource.

Merch Updates
Champion City Sweaters & Staff Shirts
- We experienced a quality issue with the last few orders we received from our supplier. Orders have been delayed until we are sure printing will meet our quality expectations.
- Everyone seems open to exploring other suppliers and brands for printing the city sweaters. HQ is exploring options with other suppliers and share an update soon.
